Hamiltonian Renormalisation: Motivation and Theory

Wilsonian Renormalisation is traditionally used in order to remove UV regulators (e.g. lattices) of path integral formulations of a QFT in terms of (reflection positive) measures. Using Osterwalder-Schrader reconstruction, one can translate the Wilsonian Renormalisation flow of measures directly in terms of the underlying Hamiltonians. The fixed points of this flow
define continuum theories. In this talk, these concepts are introduced and a concrete Hamiltonian Renormalisation scheme is displayed. Applications to reduced phase quantisations of GR are discussed.
