SUMMARY:Pathways to QG-phenomenology: holography\, overlapping degrees-of-f
reedom and random matrix Hamiltonians\, Dr. Oliver Friedrich (LMU Sternwar
 te)
DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will discuss our efforts to build quantum field
theories that adhere to conjectured properties of quantum gravity such as
holographic entropy bounds. In particular\, I will present the results of
https://arxiv.org/abs/2402.11016 where we built a holographic Fermion fiel
d and use it to confront the holographic principle with cosmic neutrino ob
servations. And I will briefly summarise our attempts to generalise this t
o bosonic fields (based on https://arxiv.org/abs/2201.08405 and Kushwaha e
t al. in prep). I will close by discussing how a number of peculiar featur
es of our holographic field theories can arise in the context of quantum m
 ereology.
